hypnotherapy with Ruth
Free yourself...
Hypnotherapy is simple yet powerful and can make positive and lasting changes to your life.
WHAT IS HYPNOSIS?
Hypnosis is an everyday, natural occurrence. It is enabled when you are very relaxed and have focussed concentration. While you are like this, your mind and body is very open and responsive to suggestions. For example if you find yourself very relaxed driving along a familiar route, you’ll probably be in some stage of hypnosis, therefore your internal dialogue can have a big impact because while in hypnosis you are so responsive to suggestion.
WHAT IS HYPNOTHERAPY?
The purpose and beauty of hypnotherapy is that together with a trained hypnotherapist, you agree goals and outcomes to work towards in hypnosis. This enables some incredibly positive changes. Although I have been involved with hypnotherapy for many years, I still find myself amazed at its power and simplicity and of what can be achieved. Clients too are often astonished at the changes that hypnotherapy with me brings them.
Hypnotherapy with Ruth
Hypnotherapy with me is a collaborative process; we’ll work together towards your goals. I’ll put in a lot of effort between sessions, researching ideas and using things you have said to prepare for the next session. You’ll need to be fully committed too, at each meeting I’ll give you homework and things to work on before the next week.
A large amount of my training was based on the Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) model of hypnotherapy and this comes across in my style of working. This approach helps you manage your problems by recognising and then changing the way you think and behave. I focus on what you would like to achieve, and then look at ways, using the power of your mind, to reach these goals. I also draw my techniques from my training in Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP). This looks at changing behavioural patterns that have been learned through experience, using modelling and other NLP methodologies, to help you acquire the skills you want.
Each session will be individually tailored to your specific needs and what you wish to achieve, I do not use a blanket approach, I very much respond to what you tell me in your assessment session and at subsequent sessions.
I treat all of my clients with confidentiality. I am a member of the National Council for Hypnotherapy and I abide by their strict code of ethics which can be seen here: www.hypnotherapists.org.uk/about-nch/code-of-ethics.
